Interdental brush instead of floss — where it fits

The spaces between the teeth make up about a third of the entire tooth surface. That is where decay arises particularly often, and where inflammation of the gums begins.

Where there is room for it, an interdental brush cleans more thoroughly than floss: it has bristles, it fills the space and it is easier to guide. Floss remains for the tight spots that no brush fits into.

The size is what matters. Too small does not clean, too large injures the gums. The practice measures it — most people need two or three different ones.
