Professional cleaning is a private service, and the price is calculated according to the work involved. That explains part of the range: anyone with little plaque and healthy gums needs less time than someone with deep pockets and a lot of tartar.
The rest is explained by the scope. A complete cleaning covers the findings, hard and soft deposits, the spaces between the teeth, the polishing, the fluoridation and instruction on your own teeth. Anyone back out of the door after twenty minutes has had something else.
The most useful question before the appointment is therefore not „what does it cost?“ but „what is included and how long does it take?“. The amount then follows by itself.
